Mission Fronts Across Bali and Sulawesi

If you’re wondering where to jump in, start here. We serves at the intersection of the local church, orphan care, and education. These mission fronts aren’t abstract ideas; they’re real places led by Indonesian believers who live among their people, speak their language, and carry the gospel into daily life.

Church Planting

Local Churches Led By Local Pastors

Partnering with Indonesian pastors to plant and strengthen churches in villages where the gospel is rarely heard but deeply needed. There are 4 local churches serving over 300 members, with an additional 400+ former Hindu and Muslim awaiting a place of worship. Additionally, there are 2 children from Fath Children’s Home currently in Bible School called to pastor.

Orphan Care

Faith Children’s Home

A Christ-centered home where children receive food, clothing, education, discipleship, and love. Director Dr. Berens Dien, an Indonesian native, has served faithfully for almost 20 years. We recently appointed Gevin, who grew up in the home and graduated Bible college, as the Deputy Director, training under Dr. Dien to assist with our expansion and hopefully take leadership over future sites.

Education

Faith Baptist School

Providing classrooms where students encounter both excellent education and the hope of the gospel. Currently we have an elementary school, with land to build a junior and senior high school. One of the only Christian schools in the region, surrounded by primarily Muslim schools. Our goal is to provide full primary schooling centered in Christian Faith based learning.

Who We Are

We strengthen the local church in Sulawesi through orphan care, education, and long-term discipleship. What you see here isn’t a concept. It’s a calling already in motion.

We’re Shane and Jessica Cunningham. For years, our lives were shaped by structure, responsibility, and service to our country. Along the way, God began redirecting our definition of faithfulness. Not toward something bigger, but toward something deeper.

This wasn’t a career change. It was obedience. A call to lay down control, listen closely, and follow where God was already at work.

Shane and Jessica Cunningham with their family

Today in Sulawesi, there is an orphanage home to fifty children. There is a local church serving its community. There is an elementary school educating both orphaned children and local families, with plans already underway for a middle and high school.

This ministry didn’t start with a vision board. It started with presence, consistency, and trust built over time.

Over twenty years ago, Shane’s grandparents, Bill and LaMoin Cunningham, planted the first seeds of this ministry in Indonesia. Churches were established. Relationships were built. The gospel took root.

We didn’t invent this work. We are partnering with our grandparents to learn from them and grow with them. We will carry it forward with respect for what came before and responsibility for what comes next.

What began with a 25-acre gift has grown into something far larger. Today, there is a vision for 1,125 acres dedicated to long-term gospel work in Sulawesi. An accumulation of land donations has created a unique opportunity to expand the ministry.

This land represents more than expansion. It represents the capacity to build sustainable orphan care, full primary and secondary schools, pastoral training, medical outreach, agriculture, and housing for staff and families — all centered around the local church.

The goal is not scale for the sake of scale. It is space to disciple deeply, care consistently, and build something that can outlast us.

Everything we do flows through the local church. Indonesian pastors lead. Indonesian believers disciple. Our role is to support, equip, and walk alongside them so the work lasts beyond us.

The goal isn’t to be impressive. It’s to be faithful. To raise children who know they are loved. To strengthen churches that can stand on their own. To build something that still matters long after we’re gone.

Become a Monthly Mission Partner

Monthly mission partners are the steady foundation of everything happening in Sulawesi. While one-time gifts help meet urgent needs, monthly support creates stability. It keeps food on the table for children, lights on in classrooms, and pastors free to shepherd their churches without distraction. Because of faithful monthly partners, ministry doesn’t pause between emergencies or wait on the next fundraiser. It moves forward every single day.

Choose a level that fits your season. Every gift matters.
